Sep, 1st Race results (Right Meow)

As we close out the end of this race season, we have a lot to accomplish  in the off-season but a lot we have accomplished already.

Going int o this weeks features we thought for sure it would be a wreck fest with the points battle the way they are. Boy were we wrong, they crash we had was one of our own, (I will explain later)!

Jeremy’s feature was exciting as usual with him starting 6th. He was moving up steadily when a car came down across his nose and he spun them out. Now the speedbowl being who they are and well it being the last points race of the year decided to yet again put Jeremy in the back. No big deal he will fight his way back up like he always does. With one hell of a vengence, the 71 car came up through the field with 3 laps to go and he was able to take 7th. I must say hats of to Dan D’  Addario, Glen Thomas Jr. I was hoping for a spectacular finish, but Glen had a bunch of bad luck that night.Jeremy closes out the season 13th in points and a possible contention for rookie of the year!Good job Princess!

Now on to Pete’s feature race. Running a clean season all year, battling his way to the top, Pete ran yet another great race in a green, white, checkered fashion.Starting 6th Pete ran much of the field up front to maintain his position between 6th and 8th. Unfortunetly with only a few laps to go the motor started to get tired and he slipped back to 10th to finish out the year. This left the #89 car sitting in 8th overall for the year. A damn good run on a motor that is 5 years old. Nice job Pete!

Now on to the mechanics races of the night. I will save the best for last and start with my race in the #71 car.Not being familiar with Waterford, Thompson I know better, I went out and drove an easy first half of the race being more a mechanic than a driver. I drove the car all over and was trying to figure out how to make the car better overall. But with the last few laps quickly approaching I turned up the heat  and drove the car like it should be driven. Not sure were I finished, not that it matters, but I had some fun!

Saving the best for last………..AJ, drove the #89 car in the mechanics feature race. Now if you know AJ we call him grandpa for a reason. A good mechanic you are brotha, a driver well………..that is to be determined. Running consistent laps and getting faster each pass, 5 laps to go the 89 was dumped hard in turn three and thus sent our car and driver head on into the wall. A red flap later and he was out and doing the walk of shame back to the pits. The car came in on a flatbed and lets just say we are building a new car for next year.

All of the above features can be seen on youtube and on the Jett Fabrication facebook page courtesy of Short Guy Short Film Productions! Thank you Joe, and a big thank you to our crew and drivers. You guys and gals have made it awesome!

8/26 Race Results

What a weird but great night of racing. A bunch of cautions, fire, and a full moon.

I will start with the 20-lap X-car race. What a battle to the finish for our #71 car.Starting 6th Jeremy ran a great race and was sitting in 2nd with 8 to go when caution hit. Out of the corner of our eyes we see him overheating and spilling water. So we call him in to cool off the car and see what is going on. With no visible issues in sight we were able to get the temp down and get him back out on the track. Having coming off the track he had to go to the back of the pack. What we saw next was nothing short of amazing. Jeremy was able to run that car from last out of a 20 car field, I beleive I might be wrong, all the way to finish in 5th place. According to the Speedbowl results, we finished fourth due to a DQ to one of the top four. But this is not the tip of the iceberg, our car then caught on fire coming back from Tech! A small blue flame ignited from the main switch panel that power the car on and off. A quick snip of the main wire and she was out.  What a race.

Now on to the Super-x car feature. All though the team missed almost all of it due to being in tech. We were able to see that there were several cautions, a car fire on the backstretch that Pete had an amazing move getting by, got to love video footage! After all of this , a 7th place finish moved our #89 car into the 7th spot for overall point standings!

Awesome night for racing! Make sure if you want to come out and see the cars in action, you have to show up next week as we have only one week left.

8/19 Race Results

First off hats off to our driver’s. What a great night for racing! Let’s start off with the super X feature. Pete’s #89 machine has been running better than usual (hope we didn’t put a hex on it).Starting 6th Pete ran a very competitive run in the 6th through 8th spots. After some contact the left rear went flat and we had to bring him in for a new tire. A great pit stop it was and back out on to the track he went. From the back of the pack came a screaming olds cutlas as Pete was driving the wheels off of the car. He would eventually work his way up to 7th .

Rounding off the night was Jeremy in the 71 car. Starting fourth he ran anywhere he wanted on the track.  A bit of contact and one hell of a save off turn four with twelve laps to go, sliding sideways three times, he was able to keep it under control and battle his way back to the 6th spot for another great finish.

As of today Jeremy is sitting 14th in points, and Pete is sitting in 8th.

Great finishes for both drivers and the team. I would like to thank our drivers and our pit crew. Great job guys! Let’s keep kicking ass and finish out the season at the top!

Down to the Wire

As the remainder of the last three races closes in on us for the season. We are sitting comfortably in 17th after our big crash that totaled Saturn version 1.0. Version 2.0 has all the bugs worked out for the most part and Jeremy is running the wheels off of the car.Be on the look out for the #71 we will be in your rear view, but not for long.

As for Pete in the #89 he is consistent as always. The car is running quicker now after a few adjustments. Be looking for his machine to make some moves next year as we have plenty in store for this off-season.

All in all the team is in good standings to finish out the year in points. Pete is now in a comfortable spot in 9th, Jeremy is in 17th with the prospect of taking a few more spots with several weeks to go still. Stay tuned and check back often as we will keep updating every week.

8/11 Race Results
